The Californian band Swell returns to Europe this fall for a final run of shows.
Originally conceived by the late David Freel and Sean Kirkpatrick in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, Swell became a cult name known for its cinematic, raw, and unmistakably melancholic sound.
For this tour, original members Sean Kirkpatrick (drums) and John Dettman-Lytle (vocals/guitar) are joined by Tim Adams (bass) and Philippe Gunst (guitar/keys, Fragment). Together, they revisit the Swell catalog with renewed energy while staying true to the spirit of the original recordings.
Following the passing of David Freel in 2022, recent shows have confirmed that Swell still connects strongly with audiences across Europe and the US. This tour offers a rare opportunity to experience the band live one last time.
The tour will include dates in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and the UK, with additional shows to be announced.
